Why do i feel this way about in laws?

So me and my bf have been dating for 5 years.. I normally get along.great with everyone. But his three sisters are hard to talk to. They are quiet and over 5 years older than me....so the first 3 years.....the family always go eats out every sun. Along with three SIS and their bfs......I would just sit at home and wait for him...and think why doesn't he take me out....I was really upset about this for the longest time but didn't want to tell him because I didn't want to rush him.....well I took the initiative to meet them and started to talk to them just a lil more..were still not even close only 10 percent.....and its been 5 years!!! And now ..my boyfriend takes me out...that's cuz now they finally know me...well my problem is ... they wanted to have a Christmas dinner and a gift Exchange....which was something I wanted for the longest time....I mean the family close.ties..I wanted this for soooo long...but I am so upset because of the past...how come now that they wanna be close..I just don't even want.to anymore....I don't mean to be mean...but I felt.unwanted for.the longest time... and I normally buy all his sisters and their bfs. Present.... for all 5 years even though I'm not close to them...I recently got upset because...they said they wanted.gift.Exchange.to save money.....I was going to buy all a.present.t...I just.don't.feel the genuinely.......am I wrong.
