Why do Hillary and Obama sound so populist, negative, and vacuous when discussing

economic matters?
BIll Clinto was generally a fiscal conservative. When he ran for office, he demanded from fellow Democrats an acceptance of some sound doctrines gathered from the Reagan administration. I hear nothing of the sort from Obama or Hillary.

Should we be concerned?
 
Maybe it's the three forty a gallon gas we all have to pay along with our devalued dollar.
