why do girls seem scary to approach?

i know they don't eat you, but everytime you have to approach a new girl, there's this shiver down your spine and the awkward nervousness that sets in...it goes away once you get talking.. i have no clue why that happens... why do you girls have this effect on guys ??... im sure most guys would feel this way at some point.

dusty its called fear of being rejected by the girl or guy you want to ask out and even like alot...its normal to be afraid but if your lucky and the person likes you back then all systems are go....
