To the folks thinking the Bush tax cuts went to everyone equally; they didn't. The rich got the major benefit of the tax cuts.
To Bwana; you might want to check the percentage tax cuts by income... they're NOT the same. I can see why you might try to portray it that way though (notice I didn't say lie about it)

You're confusing two things that never go together, conservative rhetoric and reality.

In conservative rhetoric, there is one party that is dedicated to class warfare and income redistribution, while they care solely about freedom. In reality, both parties work to redistribute income, but differ in which economic class they're distributing it to. And while liberals support policies that ultimately leave everyone better off (just look at the difference between the stock markets in democratic and republican administrations if you doubt that), the Republicans are engaged in a ceaseless, even obsessive class war against their own voters - which explains the large and growing gap between their rhetoric and the real world.
 
There is a huge difference between giving people who pay the most taxes there money back.......Let me repeat that for you......THERE IS A HUGE!!!! DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GIVING EVERYONE WHO PAID TAXES ON MONEY THEY EARNED BACK TO THEM......and giving money to people who paid NO TAXES money.

Are you just not very smart. Tax cuts mean not taking as much from people who pay taxes on money they EARNED.
Taking more money from tax payers & giving it to people who pay little or no taxes is what we CONSERVATIVES complain about.My God are you that stupid or do you even care about facts.

Bush cut taxes across the board for every tax payer not just the rich.......let me repeat that.......BUSH CUT TAXES ACROSS THE BOARD FOR EVERY TAX PAYER...............Of course the wealthy got more money back............THEY MAKE MORE MONEY.

If I make 100,000 a year & Joe Blow made 2.5 million a year guess who gets more money back from a tax cut............Have you figured it out yet. How bout this if I made 20,000 last year & Allen Iverson made 15.4 million last year guess who gets more money back from a tax cut...............I think all you lefties are financially retarded

Because the \bush tax cuts gave money back to over 105 million working people. The idea that only the rich got money back is false. I am nowhere near rich, but I got money back.
 
You've got it exactly right. I call it "reverse socialism." It's also known as "Reverse Robin Hood." And the irony is, the way the "conservatives" do it, it's taking money from those who actually work, the poor and the middle class, and giving it to lazy bums who just suck out the public treasury, the CEOs.
