Why do conservatives believe scientists re swine flu but not re climate change?

Just curious why you're choosing to believe on group of scientists but not another.
To NAAWP; What? Try to stay on topic...
To gentle giant; Just curious how you know one is fact and the other isn't? Aren't you relying on the experts in both fields (the scientists) to give you reliable information? If not what's your source of info for drawing your conclusion?

I see a lot of bad reasoning in your answers so far. No good objective reasons though...
 
I dont believe in both. The earth goes through warming phases, it has been proven. Plants and animals put off more harmful gases to the earth then humans ever will. To make one hybrid car, it will pollute more than a single diesel truck throughout it's life span because of the pollution put off to make the batteries for the hybrid. The flu killed 35,000 people last year......chill out
 
I don't believe either. I was alive in the 70's; and I remember the "imminent ice age approaching" and the "imminent swine flu outbreak of 1976" which never happened, and in fact, saw more people die from the vaccine than the disease.
 
I think it;s because you can actually see the imminent danger with swine flu.

It is tangible and it is now.

Climate Change is so far off into the future that it hardly matters and it seems that no matter what we do, we can't really stop it anyways. Furthermore for people who have faith, the bible pretty much has for-told there would be screwed up weather that would hurt mankind. They kind of feel like, it's supposed to happen. And they are Christian, they will be Raptured, (even though "rapture" isn't in the bible) before this all takes effect.

I believe viruses exist and are testable and replicable. I have seen no evidence that modern science can quantify climactic changes over billions of years.
 
Global warming alarmists say the cold and warm weather are both caused by global warming. I don't see scientists say both sick and healthy people have the swine flu.
 
Just what are scientists saying that is controversial about the flu? There's no unproven theory in how flu spreads. The same can't be said for global warming.
