Why do climate change supporters think handing money to developing countries will save..

...the earth? Are people really that dumb that they think rich countries handing over money to corrupt third world and developing countries will stop catastrophic climate change?

Nothing will change in those countries except for the wealthy elite becoming more wealthy. Anyone that thinks they will use the money towards looking after the environment is being too idealistic.
