I have had it with the pansy-a$$ed, tights-wearing nerds on bicycles. They cry and complain about motorists not giving them right of way or enough room when they are overtaken on the road, yet they blow through stop signs and flip me off when I am obeying the law. Tonight a group of dorks on bikes were approaching a four way intersection (stop signs in all directions) from my right. I had made my stop and proceeded through the intersection, when [gasp in surprise] they all blasted straight through. I didn't stop again for them, and two of them wiped out in the road [hear me cry]. The entire group laid into me about cyclists rights - right up until the police arrived and cited each of them for failing to stop at a stop sign. At least I got to bloody them in their ill-fated effort to take over the roads by breaking laws. Chalk one up for the good guys. And remember - if they blow a stop sign, you have every right to run them over.
And before you blast me for stereotyping cyclists - understand that this is majority behavior as I have witnessed it. I do realize that there are cyclists out there who use hand signals and stop at stop signs - but they are by far in the minority. Most are too proud to be nerds in spandex and too ignorant to understand their actions are in direct conflict with their wishes to be recognized as equal traffic on the roadways. I bet they'll be upset when I take my ATV out on the bike trails. What a bunch of (majority, of course) freaking hypocritical babies.
Prof. Poon Tang: It isn't just that those cyclists were wrong for blowing a stop sign - they actually thought I was wrong for running them into the ditch!!! I see a hundred cyclists run stop signs or break some other law than I do motorists - so don't give me the whole "every redneck was born into incest" argument. The majority of cyclists blow stop signs and don't use hand signals - that's a fact. At least the rednecks can blame their genes, for crying out loud!
