Why do animal rights activist complain?

Why do defend animals so much? When people fight dogs why is it so bad because people fight all the time. Animals and human alike will die eventualy so why do people have to go to jail for abusing animals? when we ourselves fight all the time
 
Because they want to have something in common with Al Qaeda and the Taliban - which is no dog fighting. *sarcasm*

The point is you shouldn't try to get animals to fight, in nature they may fight but we shouldn't play god with animals.

I don't like the idea of needless violence.
