Do you really understand what 'Social Medicine' is? Millions of dollars are spent by Health Insurance companies to suppress health reforms, this is understandable because they will lose billions. Millions of the less well off and unemployed in the US have no insurance and the cover of the lower paid employed is limited, it's not unusual to be refused treatment even if you are insured. HEALTH CARE IN THE US IS GREAT! [if you can afford it] but most can't and die as a result. One argument I've heard against Social Health Care is ; "But you can't choose your doctor or hospital", I replied " Can you, if you're not insured". I feel a great concern for my American Cousins in the 'richest? country in the World' but you make me mad because you won't help yourselves. The sly Fox and friends are misleading you. : I'm British and 76 years old with Cancer but I'm lucky! We have the 'National Health Service' [NHS] so I don't worry about medication. The NHS or [Social Health Care to you] is not wholly funded by Government but is subsidized by it. The employed pay a small percentage of their salary that covers retirement pension unemployment and maternity benefits, the employer pays a larger percentage and the needy pay nothing but still receive all the benefits. No-one complains about the well off supporting the less well off. For those who feel themselves to be above the NHS, there is private insurance. Even if you were unable to do a day's work you are taken care of. The NHS takes care of the Brits from 'the womb to the grave' Social Health Care IS NOT RED!
