Why do Americans act so weird when they find out Im a virgin?

So what? Im in college, a proud virgin never had a boyfriend, I dont take part of this immoral culture although I am American-Pakistani origin and Muslim. What exactly is so shocking about it? Nothing I presume. I am proud. Women are shocked and men are disgustingly fascinated.

People won't know your a virgin unless you decide to tell them so. If you don't like people acting weird because of that, I suggest you not tell them.

They think of it as weird because it is not common where people will just keep to themselves until they meet that right guy and then go from there. They act the same way with me, I'm in college, never had a boyfriend or even had sex before and people are more fascinated than anything.

Sounds like you're just hanging around the wrong Americans. I'm an American, and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Neither would most people I know--also Americans. Different strokes for different folks. You're not only a virgin, but you're emotionally free, don't have an STD, and are in control of your own body. Sounds like a good thing to me.
