Why do all the girls I talk to just end up as friends?

Im a friendly person but ive never had a girl friend. All the girls I talk to just end up as friends immediately. I'm 16 years old I'm not too short or tall and I'm not fat or anything I'm not even ugly so why don't I ever get a girlfriend? Is it because I'm not crazy and spontaneous? What can I do to get a girl friend?
