Why do all of the people waste their energy arguing about democrats and republicans?

Both parties are corrupt, power hungry, and only care about maintaining their office. I can't remember the last bill that was passed by congress and signed by the President that is actually good for the country. Isn't the best thing that could happen for America Term Limits?
samrob99-if that's the case then why are they forcing cap and trade and healthcare reform through congress? Polls show that neither bill has majority support from the people.
 
It is...simply put... another method of keeping people in general... AT one another and actively involved in the.... us and them thing...that keeps the country from any real unity ... something that the powers that be... can not allow to take shape.....
It has taken decades to form this wide of a chasm within the public at large...and, you can rest assured that it will only be enhanced from here by those that control such stuff....

And, as far as Term Limits
just how far do you see such a thing ever traveling to completion ? It has been a "thing" for decades and is no closer to ever coming to fruition.... AND... is in the category of..... set pay with limits on raises allowable for members of Congress.... AND.... campaign finance reform (that has any real teeth to it)..... These items will only surface from time to time.... they are "talked to death" ... by those who benefit most FROM them.... then they are allowed to die another quiet death in the back of some committee room.... as all things do that are not in the benefit of those who are in power....
