Why do a lot of people think 2D animation is better than CGI?

Seriously! Why all I ever hear is that there's things you can't do with CGI that you can do with 2D.
No one ever shows me what or tells me what.So can someone show me the examples?
I don't mean to offend anyone but I just don't get it.
