Why didn't the Worlds government notify ANYONE ...?

Why did that Asteroid get so close to the earth and noone within the science community said anything. They scream about finding moons within the rings of Saturn but, not a peep about an Asteroid the size of a 25 story building until the day after it was safley back out in space ? And it is in an orbit with earth, the next pass or passes may not just be close it may collide then what ?

Good question. I'm inclined to agree with the 1st answer - there's not much any of us could do about it? Would we book the next space shuttle to the nearest inhabitable planet? Even if that were possible all the 1st class seats would be pre-booked by oil rich arabs, world leaders would fill business class with Bill Gates & a few close friends in economy.

They'd all be wasting their money... Bruce Willis & his mates are up there taking care of it as we speak... Haven't you seen Armageddon?
