On 30 January 2009 Public Health was advised of concerns regarding the presence of odours at a residential unit located at A-...
Public Health Inspector ... conducted inspections at the residential unit on
30 January 2009 and reports that he did not smell an odour in the unit during the inspection conducted at 15:30, but that during his 19:00 inspection, he smelled an odour, on all three floors of the unit, which he describes as giving him a burning sensation in his nose, and giving him the feeling that his throat was closing. He reports that the odour appeared to be coming from the adjacent unit (Unit B), and that the odour was more pronounced near the adjoining walls with Unit B in the basement and on the second floor. Mr.... tried to contact the tenant in Unit B but there was no answer at the door.
On 2 February 2009 Mr.... advised the unit’s landlord of his findings, and on
9 February 2009 he conducted an inspection at residential Unit B. He reports that he did not smell an odour in the unit at the time of the inspection.

The health inspector had to give 24 hour notice and told me he didn't have equipment to test for chemicals so he couldn't do anything without proof!
