Why didnt Clintons tax hikes destroy the economy..................?

and why did the economy crash from Bush's tax CUTS! The economy has never been better than during the late 1990s and Bill Clinton is Democrat. Gas was still only a dollar and everything was better. Republicans keep saying raising taxes will destroy the economy.
