Why did The USA Enter War World I?

After German submarines sank seven U.S. merchant ships, President Wilson called for war on Germany, which the U.S. Congress declared on April 6, 1917.

The cause of The USA entry to the war was due to a secret telegram in code, German diplomat named Arthur Zimmerman tried to make an alliance with Mexico. He promised that if Mexico helped Germany win the war, Germany would help Mexico regain Texas and other parts of the American southwest. The British broke the German code and reported the message to the United States. Thus, United States entry to the war ( enraged Americans).

There's rarely a simple answer for entering a war. The simplest explanation would probably be that there had been problems with German subs moving in U.S. waters. When the Germans sank the Lusitania that was sort of the last straw. By that time, Germany's enemies were seen as holding the moral highground. So the perception that England and France were standing firm against an invading, malevolent force, in combination with the sub encroachments and Lusitania sinking, gave the the US the push it needed to enter the war.
