It was bizarre and sad, and definitely did not put the show's creators and habit of merchandising in a good light. why not scrap it and throw up one of the old couch gags?
The producers of the show The Simpson's invited a famous, underground artist known as Banksy to create their couch gag intro on an episode of the show that aired several weeks ago.
If you watch the intro, you will see it is a very bleak representation of what The Simpson's merchandising and profiteering does. I don't see why the producers would air such an expository clip.
