...credit for the recovery? After the swearing in of Obama as the President, he never accepted the fact that once a President takes Office, he now owns the Nation and its issues; good or bad. Now, he wants to take recovery credits. Typical Dem! It must have slipped his mind that Government bailout started under Bush. I doubt Obama Lama will give Bush some props. Maybe they should swear in Bo as the President.
 
You are a bit confused, he doesn't own the previous administrations policies at all, some, like Bush went in and in one day dismantled the Clinton administrations policies on lumber rights and the ecology.
You can't own what you aren't responsible for, and yes, the first bailouts took place under Bush without the support of the other Republicans in Congress, even a pushplay by McCain couldn't get them to vote for it. Obama will be saddled with whatever happens with the economy for good or bad, but that will only date from when he took office, not for decisions made by a previous administration.
You might also remember that its still popular to blame Clinton for 9/11 even though he had been out of office for nine months. Clearly laying the blame for something isn't just a Democratic game.
