Why did my teachers give me a dirty look?

A university guide came to our school and asked us how we could pay for tuition. My parents are honestly going to pay back all my loans and tuition fees, so I don't have to worry about money.

When I told the people that, the teachers and some of the students gave me a dirty glare. Why?
