Why did my fish died with its stomach burst open?

I was about to feed my fish when i noticed that one of them died and it's stomach looks like it exploded...it's a rosy barb. it looked pregnant/really fat recently, then boom today it died....what happened? please explain it to me so i can prevent it in the future.

may be the one who answered u is right
rinse the tank several times and don't forget add one teaspoon of dinning salt to each gallon of water.
 
It was probably infected with something called droopsy. droopsy can infect the other fish so you should go buy a droopsy or sometimes they call it dropsy medicine
