I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7l v8 and the fuel pump went out about three weeks ago. I put in a new one and it ran good until yesterday. It broke down while i was driving and it does the same things as before. The engine turns over and it acts like it just needs fuel. The whine you normally hear from below when you turn the key to the on position is not there and when i checked the fuses the fuel pump 20 amp fuse was burned out. I replaced it and tried to start it but no luck. Anyone knows what could cause this or has this happened to anyone before? Could it be a short somewhere or just a defective pump?
