Why did MJ get more publicity in the news than Farrah?

Ever since Farrah and Micheal died i have seen more on Micheal than Farrah and i think that is a shame , i mean ok micheal was famous and a icon but hey Farrah was a icon also so why did the news not focus on her a little bit more than they did?
 
i'm not trying to be callous, i'm just telling it like it is:

farrah had cancer...chances were she was going to die soon, and everyone knew it.

mj died unexpectedly...it was more of a shock to the public than farrah's death.

mj and his family have always been surrounded by controversy, the public was (and still is) always dying to hear about the latest spat in the jackson clan.

and the media had never really had access to his ranch, so when they got the chance they jumped all over it.
