I was recently at a school dance and I had been dancing with people, but at this point I was kind of standing around. About 5 or 6 guys, all my friends, came over and told me that they had found me someone to dance for the next slow dance. They pointed this girl out to me, and told me her name. She's a Sophomore and I'm a Freshman.I knew who she was, but I had never talked to her before in my life and she has a boyfriend. I don't really know many of her close friends either. I personally think she's one of the hottest girls in the school. A few minutes later for the next slow dance she came over to me and asked me to dance. I accepted, and while we were dancing some Senior boys who I know but hadn't talked to in months were making friendly/joking comments like "Look who's here" or "Luke's got a date." Afterwards, people were poking friendly fun at me for the rest of the dance. The next day at school (today) people were still saying things like "So how'd you like the dance" or "Did you like dancing with Kelly?" in a friendly, joking sort of way. What exactly happened? Why'd they set me up to dance with her, especially since she has a bf. And how did they persuade her to dance with me since she does have a bf and I don't know her at all?
