Why did I get a BFP but the blood test came back negative?

I took a HPT and a faint line showed up so I made a doctors apt and had a blood test. That came back negative!! I'm so bummed! I'm not supposed to get my period till Nov. 11 or 12. Was it too early for a blood test. I figured it was too early for a HPT so thats why I did a blood test.
 
you could have been pregnant and had a type of miscarriage. there are several different types of miscarriages. i am so sorry. if it showed on the HPT is shouldnt have been to early to show in your blood. are you sure it wasnt an evap line? maybe you are right and its just to early to be in your blood. if you miss your prd then i would ask for another blood test or an ultrasound. good luck.
