why did honda get rid of the cbr 600f4i?

honda used to sell the cbr 600f4i as a nice alternative to the 600rr , it was a really popular bike, why did they drop it? yamaha and suzuki both have a less track oriented 600 its a shame honda does not offer one in the usa
