Why did Hitler respect Spain's military more than Italy's or France's?

I know Hitler was an avid reader of History and read books about Spanish Nobility and the Inquisition of the Americas. But did he fear Spain to Rise to it's former glory if threatened? or was there something he wanted Spain for?
