My boyfriend and I were recently talking about pre-maritial counseling and how it would be good to get questions answered prior to getting married. He was the one who initiated this conversation. He also talked about how it would be a good idea for us to combine things. He already purchased a house, and we have been doing some decorating, even though I don't officially live there. I was a little scared and hesitant at first, but I came around to the idea of all of this.
Then, a few nights after, we discussed the way our wedding ceremony would be…etc. We discussed this for probably 3 hours, and we agreed on everything. He even showed me a ring and asked what I thought about it. Well, one of his friends saw something I posted on FB and said "Oh ____ are you getting married, dude?!"
My boyfriend asked why I would post something like that on FB, and said he has to watch what he says around me. He was concerned his family would see it. He then said he was joking about the whole ceremony and everything. The only thing we joked about was an inside joke we came up with.
Did he say that because he was embarrassed, or did he want it to be a surprise? I find it hard to believe a 3 hour conversation was just a joke…
