The man I decided not to marry did things that I really didn't understand. He revealed to me that he had met someone before me and was still talking to her...and said she was "nice like you". I couldn't understand why he would want to marry me and still have friends. Then during one of my initial visits to his home, he showed me personal photos of his family...and the women he had been involved with including his ex-wife (the photos were of himself and the women together). He said he didn't want to hide anything from me, but I thought it was inappropriate and bad timing. I also didn't understand why he would become so defensive when I told him I felt uncomfortable looking at the pictures. It was also revealed to me that he had more than one female friend while he was with me. I really cared about him because I've known him since we were kids and college pals. He had his flaws, as of course I do too, but for someone to be such a player at his age (close to 50) with not-so-great sexual performance makes me think he was throwing his money to everyone. He always did bring up the fact he helped his family financially. I refused his help. I just wanted his love. I just keep wondering why all the women?
