Why did Columbus and his men runs out of food during their voyage in 1492?

A.) they gave it to Native Americans as gifts
B.) Pirates attcked their ships and burned their supplies
C.) Columbus miscalculated the distance they had to sail
D.) Columbus underestimated how much supplies would cost
 
C. They were blown off course, so it took longer to reach land and also, that's why they ended up in the Caribbean.
 
C WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT
they couldnt exactly grow crops out at sea and had no fresh water and couldnt replenish supplies easily
 
I would say C. Columbus didn't know how long the trip would actually take.
