Why did camp snoopy at moa get taken out?

Ive lived in mn since 1997 and loved camp snoopy. Thent hey took it out and thought that was a poppy. The rides are sooo much more fun but the characters are kinda.....Why did it get taken out?
I also heard they took snoopy out of cedar point too.
