questions? but then jump right in and answer others.....

LOL I don't really care. I just find it ironically amuseing that we get the "Why do atheist come here" question 2000 a times a day and then some of the people who cry the hardest jump in on a question that obviously doesn't pertain to them in any way.
Just a bit hypocritical of some of the people who answered that question is all.

And I'm not a freaking atheist. ugh

I am christian and I laugh at childish insults.
HA HA HA
You can insult me all you want.
YOUR JUST HURTING YOURSELF
You dont mess with Gods children
karma is a Biotch

It hurts their feelings to have their believes questioned.

Its a form of insecurity.

Just try reading a small sample of Christian postings on here!!!

Intolerant, egotistical, hate filled and bigoted!! Eschewing education, science, evolution works of fiction and much, much more. Christians are the only religion opposing human rights and persecuting gays, pro choice and so much more - but far worse whilst they demand freedom of religion they deny it to all non Christians and persecute them!!!

The Christian followers have adopted all those terrible human emotions and abandoned the love of god and forgiveness completely?!!!!

To be fair though, I will ask a question of fellow Christians and have some anti-theist or non-christian chime in that Im delusional or make some crack about Jesus. I dont mind others answering if they have some knowledge of the subject or my nonchristian friends on here.

But jumping in and degrading me just because I asked a question about my religion is offensive, juvenile and in bad taste. I dont make it a habit to pose my questions directly at one group most times, but occasionally I need some input from my fellow Christians.

Its like when you ask a question about Odin or a Pagan path and some Christian jumps in about false gods when you were asking your fellow people about their thoughts on that particular subject. This is my biggest pet peeve of my brethren as well, so it does go both ways.

Anyhow, thats my take on it :-)

probably cause atheists or non-christians whine to. you get back what you give...sorry!

sometimes it is just the tone and foul language. the being mean...it makes you seem really unhappy!!!! most Christians even when they aren't what you consider "nice" do it in a way that isn't so offensive.

I find it rude when anyone does that, IF it's to be disruptive. If I ask for a Christian's opinion, but a non-Christian says "I think I can help," that's a whole different matter. If I can't help, why bother answering? Just to show my ignorance?

The Jews have it the worst: nearly everybody thinks they can weigh in on their questions.

I guess for the same reason some atheists whine about Christians answering their questions.

Which, this is a public forum, so we can all do what we want here.

Don't like it~go somewhere else! Problem solved.
have a great day!

Hey it does actually run both ways. If I ask a question to Christians, I'll often have a few Atheists coming in to 'drop two cents', but when I ask a question looking for real information about something that's begrudged in the Bible, I'll have a Christian or two adding a couple of pre-written thoughts.

Like the other day I asked something about Horoscopes, and where to find certain information. I got a seemingly well-meaning Christian spouting off about how it's frowned upon by the Bible, but didn't answer my question in the slightest. If I was anyone else he would have got thumbs down straight away. Instead I chose to add details, and thumbs up anyhow.

No sense in complaining. It's a free world anyway. I wouldn't be happy if anyone here was made to separate.

But one point I will make:

Atheists do (or rather should) come here to learn about religion. It's called religion and spirituality because it's for questions about those things. It's not called that to divide people up. I might ask a question in LGBT. Would I have to be gay to do that? There is no 'right to be here' aspect to it at all.

If an Atheist can't be here because they have no religion, then a Christian can't because he/she is already sure and would have no questions about religion.

As the second one is not true, then nor is the first.

((((hugs))))

but they're persecuted, didn't you hear?

of course you did, that's the only thing they whine about more than atheists.

i think they feel justified when they throw out a 'question' like 'jesus saved the world from sin?' and we [well, i, anyway] point out the gaps in their logic.

Because atheeists with all kinds of silly tags after their name usually do nothing but bash Christians and contribute nothing of value to the discussion.

If they are "Christian" and asking for answers here, they have problems! Does that answer your question?

It's very hypocritical, yeah... I mean I don't think they would be very happy to hear me harassing them in one of their questions telling them to stop ignoring the goddess. Yeesh.

Part of it has got to be the smart aaas answers that fly both ways. Others just can't take having their beliefs called into question and have to fire something back "proving" they are "right." Some are just plain irritable ppl.

If they use 'truth' in their vocabularly - then they don't know what they are going to get....

There is no bible truth, or christian truth, etc etc.
There is only one 'truth' - and that is in the details, which reveals if it is truthful or not, whether it is believable or not?
