...her foot. Help? This summer my cat broke the head off of her femur and had surgery in order to remove the head. As a result of the surgery she sustained nerve damage and does not walk properly on her foot. She walks on top of her foot and it has caused wear. The vet said they only thing we could do is wait until it calluses. Has anyone had any experience in this type of injury and have any suggestions? It doesn't seem to bother her, because she runs, climbs, and plays just as any other cat. I just don't want her quality of life to be decreased especially if there is something we can do.
Her skin breaks several times a week. In fact she was just out in the snow and I noticed blood in the snow...her foot is raw.
