M Miko New member Jun 9, 2009 #7 sound travels much faster in water than in air.. so when you tap it.. the whole entire tank is filled with sound! And they don't know the source! (maybe) But, i know this from scuba diving. Don't scare the poor fish with 5 second memory!!
