Why can't women dress in clothing their size?

I am just annoyed because I went out the other night and could not believe how many women ( ladies who are 25 and older) dressed so awful. They had big John Goodman bodies and were dressed like they had fit teenage bodies. I know there are bigger girls who know how to dress their size and look great, but I could not believe how terrible these women looked. I have been traveling again and it seems it is not just in my area. They would look so much better if they purchased clothing in a bigger size. I know they make cute clothes in big sizes because I can never find clothes in my size anymore. The market is catering to full figured ladies and they insist on wearing smaller sizes. Is it really that difficult for some ladies to know what their clothing size is?

When a woman gains weight, it is sometimes very hard for her to admit that she is a size or two bigger and having to actually go out and buy clothes that are bigger is painful. You are right - if these women would buy their correct size, they'd look much better and in many cases, they'd look smaller! Buying clothes that are too tight only accentuate the worst parts of a woman's body! It sounds like these women need to watch a few episodes of "What Not to Wear"!

Yep, it can be real difficult for people who are in denial about their weight problem. I think the problem is, the fact that most women with a fuller figure don't want to admit they have a fuller figure and it can be difficult to accept that. But as you mentioned, some plus size girls can blow most skinny girls out of the water if they know how to dress their figure. I do agree that most smaller sizes are usually far and few but thats because the average size is a UK 16 now, so the market is just catering to the 'majority'. However, I think its bad that alot of shops i.e. Jane Norman, Topshop etc only go up to a size 14, sometimes 16 and no further. So I guess it works both ways. Plus I see alot of slim girls who don't look too snappy in their clothers, either too big or not properly fitting, or far too revealing when they haven't got much to reveal (boob wise), so yes I see what your saying but I don't think 'plus size' women are always the main offenders.

i know what your saying there not dressing age appropriate and then not to mention my neighbor who has beautiful (or had) wavy hair but she thought wearing it like that made her look old so she fried her hair flat ironing it and she still keeps striaghtening it!!!!!!!!! i say they should embrace there curves instead of cutting off of there circulation trying to be something there not
