Why can't they construct covered stadiums to prevent rain or bad light from ruining the game?

I don't like it whenever duckworth-lewis is used. Why can't they construct a very high roof for the stadium. Its height should be beyond the human ability to hit a ball that high (like 3000 feet or similar). It should have the ability to be removed and installed by the click of a remote control button (similar to a car that has moonroof or sunroof) I am sure science and technology is that advanced to construct such stadium. Japanese may even have such technology. They already have flood lights for good illumination even if sun is blocked.
