I called T-Mobile to unlock my phone today. When I called, I told them that I am no longer a T-Mobile customer, but I wish to unlock the phone that I had when I used T-Mobile. They asked me for different information to prove that I indeed was a previous T-Mobile customer. I gave them my name, state, zip code, old phone number (which is the same now on AT&T) and even the number on my old SIM card. I gave them all this short of my SS number (I got nervous when they asked for the whole thing) and they told me that nothing showed up on their computers. I asked if it was possible that our information may have been deleted, because it's been a good couple of years since we switched carriers, but they tell me that all information "since the beginning of time" is kept in their records.
How come T-Mobile wasn't able to bring up any information? It's almost like I never existed!
