First, the avian flu. The media told the people that we were all going to die and that everyone should be careful blah blah blah. then, the exact same thing happened with swine flu. Everyone was worrying that we were all going to die. how many people died from swine flu in the US? like 3?
And then, of course, there's global warming. It certainly exists, but it's not particularly something to worry about. Because of the warmer weather in the past couple thousand years, people were able to live and grow crops. Just because it's getting warmer, doesn't mean that were all going to die!!
you see, people only buy newspapers or watch tv etc. if there is something interesting. and by making a big deal out of everything, the media will get a lot more people buying their stuff, which means more money for them. When people were worrying about the swine flu, nearly everyone in my school carried around hand sanitizer(which is good, i guess, but unnecessary.
Well, my question for you is, what do you think is something to worry about in the future of our planet?(global warming, apocalypse, pollution, etc.)
