Why can't my laptop receive files via bluetooth?

On my env3, I tried sending pictures to my laptop via bluetooth (yes my laptop has bluetooth) but it wouldn't work. On my phone it said "check bluetooth status of receiving device." I've sent pictures to my laptop before and it worked before but I don't know why it's working now. Can someone help me?

More information is needed, is the laptop seeing the phone? What laptop? What ver. Of Blue tooth?
