Why can't I video chat with my friend?

Aaaaah I have a mac computer and she has a dell, and I can't video chat with her, once it says starting video chat it says there was a communication error. Also, I can't chat with ANOTHER friend who has a dell, and I was always able 2 chat with him! What's wrong??!

I think it's my computer, could something be wrong?! :'(
