...all together? I'm colorblind :/ I've gotten use to that. But any color, it's certain shades of that color I can't see, or that I see as a different color.
For example, there's certain shades of green, I'll see as red. Usually a darker green. Other shades, I see as just flat out grey. Usually being the more common green, and then lighter green, I'll see as orange or yellow. Yet, a few shades, I'll see as green!
Same thing with red, yellow, orange, pink, and obviously green.
I usually see purple as blue. But I can't see purple, period. So why is this?
I've heard many explanations of what being colorblind is, but I've never really understood them, or how it would work. I've always been told that cones are missing in the eye, and so when light goes through, it (in simply terms) replaces those cones with another cone, or just uses the rods. That's made the most sense, but I'd like to know for sure what it is.
And is there any simple fix for colorblindness? Any sort of surgery?
