Why can't I log onto anything on the Internet on my new MacBook pro?

I just got a new laptop(macbookpro) and I've tried logging onto YouTube, yahoo, MLG, and others and it won't let me log into anything. I'm actually asking this question on my iPhone cause I can't log onto my laptop.
