I have about 103 semester credit hours at Houston Community College, and I barely turned 24. I could't get financial aid before because my dad didn't pay his taxes. So i payed out of pocket for class. Now that I can file on my own, the counselor said I cannot get financial aid because i have to many semester credit hours for that school to get financial aid. I see people who get it and don't deserve it, why can't i. I know it's not my place to judge but this does not seem fair. 12 of those hours are from a clep test i took and other from retaking same classes to get a better grade. And 6 other classes I took that were not even towards my associates. Im lost and feel like giving up on school.
