why can't i find my college books online?

so i'm on my college's website right now looking up the books i need. i kinda wanted to get them somewhere online so that i could like rent them...but i can only find 2 of the books i need online. i'm copying and pasting the ISBN numbers my college's website gives me...and all of them say "not found" except for 2. why would this be??? not a fan of it.
