why can't i drive my own car as private taxi?

Ok, story was like this, i got my car for my new job on 4/1/09 and i have been out of work for three month before that. so i was happy i got a job and start working and one week later, i got laid off because the company don't make enought money to cover everyone. in the week of work i was doing a great job and all was good too. i have tried so many other job application and no one hire me. so long story short, i can't find any job and think maybe i can be a private taxi driver to drive people around. i start to be a private taxi from 4/10/09 i guess and today 5/3/09 i got set up by an undercover police, told me that i have to have permit for it and i'm operating illegal business, i have no idea it was illegal and just trying to make some money to pay the bills, i can't find a job and have a car and apartment to pay and all that bills, now i got a ticket for illegal business service and inpound my car for 30 days and cost 1366 dollar to pick up my car after 30 days. and the ticket to go to court and don't know how much i have to pay the court for illegal service ticket.
so my question was, is there any way i can get my car out before 30 days ? so its cheapper?
and how much would i have to pay for that illegal business service ticket ?

sad thing was that i didn't even make 1000 dollar for whole month i been driving as private taxi and for all that i have to pay the inpound lot for 1366 for 30 days and PLUS the ticket from court don't even know how much......can't belive it.......i feel like kill myself so no more problem no more bills to pay no more wife to yell at me to find a job make some money.
