Why can't I delete folders I don't need anymore from my flash disk?

I have a Mac, and the flash disk I'm using is an Imation one. I had dragged folders onto it before with images and documents and other crap on them, but now when I want to delete the folders themselves (even when they're completely empty) my laptop tells me "Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured. (Error code - 1407)".

Other normal files on my flash can be deleted easily, but apparently folders can't, even when what's inside them can be.
Sorry, I mean flash DRIVE. YA won't let me change it
