why can't i chat when i'm playing games on yahoo?

when i log in to play let's say canasta i go all the way in and i'm in the middle of the game and i want to tell someone good job or something like that it says that only trusted customers are allowed to chat and i'm restricted to listen mode only and i want to know why is that because before when i had yahoo i was able to chat and that was like 4 yrs ago why not now
