He used to come thundering down from the skies with a big booming voice like "THESE ARE MY COMMANDMENTS," burning bushes and parting oceans and shit.
Like seriously, why does he need the Pope (in catholicism) to come out and be like "THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, INFALLIBLY!" Why can't he just come out and say it himself so that's there's no confusion like "oh is that for real?"

God was pretty much walking right besides the Israelites in the old testament. That's like 100% proof for them that God existed. What FAITH did they need?
