I was considering the Peace Corp after graduating from Colledge. You know, see the world and do some good before settling down. Spending 2 years in a foreign country with no returns to home, doing some good for a community and helping my country look good to the outside world sounds like a worthy cuase to me.
However, as I was looking into the Peace Corp I noticed that one of the effects of joining the agency was that you were limited if not forbidden from getting a job in Military Intelligence. Despite the fact that I have no interest in serving my country in a military role (short of WW3), let alone military intelligence, I was interested in the reason for this measure.
Is it that members of the Peace Corp. are not trusted or their loyalty in doubt after havng spent so many years away from home? Or is it something else? Just wondering.
