The 93-95 HONDA HB VX goes about 43-50 miles per gallon. This car is not hybrid and has a decent horse power. Car is bigger than mini cooper or Smart small 2 seater car, yet it saves more gas. It beats most hybrid cars, and almost as Prius (50mpg).
Why not base the design on that engine and then add a hybrid capability... wouldn't that be like 70 or more mpg.
